Hey Chem, just go ahead and take me off the list. I have two hobbies now and just don't have enough time to catch one every month. I do usually go fishing every month, but have gotten skunked the last three trips. Dang Caney is hurtin' and the harpeth is just too cold to get those fish to move.

Jumping in there early, huh? Nice fish. Now you won't have to go fishing the rest of the month!

Well everybody probably knows where this was caught so I wont have to mention any names. 23'' Golden caught on a olive palmer. I had caught one the day before but when I was trying to take the picture he floped into the water and got away...so this bigger one made up for it.http://littleriveroutfitters.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=15&pictureid=410

Hopefully, I'll have a fish to post this month. I caught 2 nice bass in March but forgot my camera (not in the routine this early, been about 3 months with ice on the water, think I forgot how to fish

With any luck, the weather has turned around and I'll be out on the water more.

I was hoping to be trout fishing this past weekend but my AC going out at the house kept me close to home. I was rewarded with a large redeye bass that measured 17".

Deceiver with a bow and arrow cast. I was stalking fish from the bank of an island and saw this guy facing away from the bank under a heavy canopy. The only option was the bow and arrow. The fly landed just up and across from the fish. As I twitched, no room to strip, the fly in front of him he turned and followed. Just as I was running out of room, he opened his mouth and inhaled it. By far the biggest redeye I have hooked. It sure was pretty.

Caught 3 decent bows yesterday at my parents' farm, just below Miller Island on the Clinch. Would've gotten better pix, but I left my camera at home and my phone was in the truck. I was sight fishing from the bank and tried several flies before connecting with a black marabou/peacock hurl woolly booger. Fished about 1.5 hours and had plenty for dinner! Stuffed 'em w/ herbs, wrapped in bacon, and popped them in the oven

Good eye! That sticker's been around awhile.
You been to Silver before?
I fish alot out of Ketchum and Mackay ID.
That was actually my first photo on the board so it was kind of a "test" photo.
I wouldn't say it on anywhere but the "photography" board but I caught it on the Clinch the other day.

Taped and witnessed at 22".
Yeah, I've been fishing this river for 20yrs. and the fish quality low is as good as I've seen it in awhile.
Last summer was the best sulphur hatch I've seen on the river. With the amount of sulphur nymphs under the rocks I'm figuring another great mayfly summer esp. if these bigger fish are rising!
No kidding, but 2 wks. ago I taped 8 fish over 18" in four hrs. fishing and broke bows bigger then the one in the pic.
I shouldn't be posting this only because the really good runs are hard to get on before someone else so try to keep this bonanza amongst ourselves.
This is the only section of any river I try to keep on the "down low" and that's because of limited rod space compared to any other river.
Now only the photo buffs will know!

Since I am a noob, I thought my tiniest fish of the day last sunday should be my first fish posted. Forget the monsters, I'm catching bait.

I worked in Sun Valley one summer and have been back several times. I was usually the first one on the preserve just about every day of the trico hatch that summer and really loved that place. The big wood was a quick bike ride down the hill and I probably fished it everday I wasn't on Silver. I did spend several days up on some of the lakes in the Sawtooths and over on the Big Lost and South Fork of the Boise. Man that is a good area.

I do need to head up to the TN tailwaters soon though so I can experience a hatch again.

The second is my son's first brookie: Walker Camp Prong - also no a bead head pheasant tail.

I'll have to admit, Flyman's post was a little intimidating. For some odd reason, my mind went back to Peter Lupus - but that's another story.

Charlie,
That is a good one you got there, nicely colored.

I too agree that almost anything Flyman posts is intimidating, whether it is of a fish or a fly pattern. Quite the talented flyfisher and photographer.

I really like this one and already posted it on another section of the forum. Is it ok to start with a rerun?

This looks like a great excuse to fish at least once a month! I'm a long time reader of the forum and want to start posting. So here is my first one fish a month entry!
I caught this one at Metcalf Bottoms April 11th on a BHPT size 12. I was fishing from the bank while picnicking with my family. It was the first time fishing in about a year and a half! What a way to get back with this my best trout so far!
Just under 13in.
