Clinch River trout 4/12

I thought I would share pics of a trout I caught on Monday. I want to thank the guy fishing next to me for taking the time out of his day to help me land the fish and sorry for pic quality it was taken with a cell phone. I caught this fish in only my third fly-rod fishing trip.

Nice fish! I just knew there were some big ones in the Clinch. How much did he weigh? What fly did you use to catch him?

I did not weigh him but I did guess him to be in the 20" range it took me about 10 minutes to land him and I was afraid he would die so I took a couple of quick pics and released him and I caught him on a #18 BHPT I think I am very new and am unsure of fly sizes. I have gotten some great advice from reading the posts on this site and that has really helped me.

18" rainbow, good looking fish, but not 20". Nothing wrong with that size any day. COngrats.
