Jakes Creek/ LR brown pics 4-20-10

I fished Jake's Creek, LR at Elkmont, and LR a couple miles below Elkmont today. I caught 5 rainbows, 5 browns, and missed about 5 more fish. Here are the pics and descriptions of the browns.

I do work, but I have been on vacation and honeymooning the past 2 weeks. I go back to work tomorrow sadly.

Thank you. The honeymoon has been nice......a week in Jamaica and 3 straight days of fishing is hard to beat.

Nice pictures! I am still waiting on a brown this trip.

Thought about driving to Cosby Creek, never fished there. Paula at LRO said it was about 3 hr round trip from Townsend. Maybe I should save time and gas and fish at Elkmont.

No, you can be to Cosby Creek in an hour and a half, maybe less, from Townsend. It is less than 50 miles. I live 5 minutes from it. There are a lot of fish there, but they are small. Easy access to brook trout though. No browns.

Thanks for the information. I believe I will try Elkmont tomorrow. Hopefully the rain will end. Today was pretty wet.

Love to fish Jakes Creek when camping at Elkmont....my son's first solo trout was a brown caught there near section M....my little Orvis one ounce makes all those fish seem bigger.
