Made it out yesterday, and found a few fish looking up.

Also checked on the three redds I found the previous trips, and two were still occupied. Looks promising! Also saw a couple very large mayflies, probably a size 10 or so. They closely resembled a Green Drake, and I watched a couple sizeable fish come completely out of the water eating them. I have watched yellow bass munching on them farther downstream, so I wonder if they have slowly started moving upstream.
Most fish were ignoring the few sulfurs that were hatching. If I found one that was eating on the surface, I could generally get it to take my offering. I was experimenting with a new cripple emerger pattern tied in a hackle stacker fashion. This guy below nearly swallowed it!

Still not quite there yet as far as fish and sulfur activity goes. But it is still early compared to when everything exploded last year. My 2009 fishing log shows that we are about three weeks ahead of last year's schedule.
