I went to Cataloochee today hoping to find Palmer or aonther of the smaller streams small enough to fish. The banks there weren't clear enough to fish from the bank, and the wading was sketchy. I fumbled around a little, but only caught two fish. One brook and one rainbow that was a minimum 10 inches that spit the hook when I touched it with my hand. Here is a pic of the brook.
Hey TJ, glad you got to get out and go. I've been twice the whole year so far, too many jobs around the house that I've let accumalate through the years while I was fishing all the time!! Oh well, pretty Brookie.
Wanted to ask you here since we don't have the PM's, does it appear to you that G-burg is stocking any better now that the "season" is rolling in? Just wondered, we're coming out last week of May and I know my wife is looking forward to catching stockers at G-burg. We're coming back with some friends in July and bringing a few little guys with us and I'm hoping the kids can get to fish some too that week. Thanks, tight lines!

Yes they are stocking a bit better now. Roaring Fork is much better to fish than downtown. There are a few "kids only" streams and sections that they stock really well and put some big fish in.
