paddling on Chilhowee lake

Spent a great day with my wife paddling around on Chilhowee lake yesterday. It was windy but we found some quiet areas out of the channel and I got to fling a few flies.
I have been wanting to show her these spawning beds and see if the bream were doing as expected. They were there and doing their thing.;)

look closely and you will see shadows of fish on the beds.

We paddled around and I found a few bream and bass that were hungry. Looking forward to the post spawn action.

Good report Gary, I like to see the beds too. In FL a couple of weeks ago I walked down to a pond where the LMB were stacked clear around the whole pond bedding. The males were guarding it looked like so I suppose these were the small ones and they all still looked like nice fish.
Bream are about ready here too, I went Sat. to the pond for awhile.

We had a good time saturday. The wind was pretty bad at times and was whitecapping on the main lake with about 1.5ft swells. The fishing was kind of slow with the bluegill spawning, but did catch a few bass. had a pretty good LM on that ran into a logjam and broke off.
