My family had a most difficult weekend and I really needed to decompress bit. The wife agreed that we needed a distraction and she knows that fishing is my go to method of release. As soon as she agreed I knew where I wanted to go.

I had not been to check on my brookie buddies in a while and needed to make sure that they had wintered well. I don't feel the need to name streams.

Not much of a trail and the area is somewhat guarded.

Looks like the guys may have been eating well.

I think this water looks fishy.

Lots of these guys.

One of Leigh Ann's catches.

And the grand finale.

Great way to relax and recharge, nice looking water, fish and family. You don't have to worry about me trying to fish there, Squirrels and Snakes do not get along .

Hey Jason I think I know where you were at but I won't say anything ;). Turns out I was fishing up behind you yesterday evening but still did pretty good. I saw you and Leigh Ann on your way out but you guys didn't see me I was down in the stream. You guys did see my fiancée Amanda (blonde with curly hair) who was sitting in a blue camping chair reading a book on a big rock down near where the overgrown trail leaves the stream. I am sure it was kind of startling to see someone sitting there reading that far back in the woods. When I started fishing I caught a nice one on my first cast off that rock.

Adam - I didn't see you but I did see your fiancee. I was waiting for Leigh Ann to catch up and tried to figure out why anyone would go to all that trouble to read. We assumed that someone was with her and fishing.

On our way up there we did see a couple in the stream that was engaged in some PG-13 activity.

Cool Jason well next time if I see you out I will yell at you. I was probably as surprised as you were when I glanced back and saw you two walking by up on the manway. Your pics are great by the way and I am sorry to hear about your difficult week.

Really enjoyed your pictures. Found out last month that not all serpents lurk in trees....some are in church. I need a trip to the mountains badly!!

Great report and great pictures, thanks for sharing. I am missing the mountains, but luckily the redfish are tailing in the lowcountry.
