I agree. Words can not explain why I do what I do, I've tried. That's what I love about this forum, y'all understand my passion, my obsession, and the fact that I am totally consumed by fly fishing and the back country.
ifish... I understand not being able to put it into words, think that's one reason it is so special to us. For several years now I've wanted to get into fly fishing so I could enjoy the Smokies and all it offers, have tried hiking a few times but have found that I need an activity to go with it, just hiking doesn't do it for me. I've always hunted in my spare time and since ya can't do that in the park I haven't had a reason to visit it, thus I have missed out on the most special place right here in my back yard. Better late than never I guess. Hope to learn more about backcountry camping and put together a lightweight outfit so I can spend a few days out at a time, a Hazel Creek type trip as others have posted on this forum looks like fun.
