Clinch River: Madison Cherry Bomb

OK, I have been fishing this fly for many months in the tourist spots on the Clinch. I think it is a great fly for slack water and to let drift in to a pool. Try it if you like.....

I shall call it:

The Madison Cherry Bomb:


-Hook size 14-18 [Emerger]
-White tying thread
-Ultra Wire (BR) RED
-Speckled hackle or white hackle
-RED bead head (I usually like a smaller size that is not so much RED; but, this one has been working well.)

Addendum:

Fish this fly with extra-long tippet [5-7 feet] and let it dance in the pools. If they seem hesitant; lightly bump the line once or twice.:smile: Pulled one after another yesterday; stockers that is....
