Where did you guys fish and how did ya do?
I fished the Clinch a couple of times this weekend, and did very well both times. The high light of my weekend was watching my 3 yr old catch his first rainbow all by him self. Talking about a proud dad, I was indeed.

I spent all weekend on the French Broad, both above and below douglas. We caught about 7 million bass, including some abnormally large fish as well. Great weekend, and nothing I love more then bright blue skies, high sun, and hot temperatures when smallmouth fishing.

Fished the Hooch yesterday with OK results. We put the drift boat in at Jones Bridge park and just fished that area. Caught about 30 between my dad and i. I dont know why it was slower than usual, but it could be from a mixture of so many people keeping their full limit, the countless tubers, or the crowds?

I made it out to the Holston at Nance's Ferry and found a few willing smallies. Nothing of any size though. Tried for some of the carp and buffalo in the area, but had no success. I really need to fish those Little Pigeon or Little River smallies sometime.

I fished the elk today and I must say it was probably one of the worst days I have had in a very long time (fishing wise that is). Beautiful weather this morning, and yet the fish were not catchable. I spoke to several guys who had fished that morning and said they had not caught a fish. This was a strange day because I have been hearing wonderful things about that river here lately. In the past when I have fished the elk it has been very consistent but today was very different. Needless to say...it was a rough and frustrating day.

we fished the Elk on the 18th. floated from the dam to Ferris creek bridge. i had heard some good things about the elk this yr. soo i gave it a try. its been 4 yrs since i have floated it. and it was not all that great. i caught about 12 fish all day lost about 5 or 6. buddy of mine caught 5 lost about 5. biggest fish was a 20inch brown. and seen a brown that would push 7lbs. and lost one brown that was about 3-4 easy. just wish we would have seen more fish was a very slow day.
