Clinch wading

Thanks again for the Caney wading info, it will save lots of time searching for general wading areas on the river. Looks like drifting might be better than wading on that tailwater, but we deal with what we have.

Regarding the Clinch:
I have researched info on the net, and it appears that the Church access might be good for wading (parking behind church); and, the Miller Island and Dam areas seem possible for wading (not sure about parking here). Looks like a parking lot for Miller Island access off River Road, and maybe two or three parking areas directly above the weir dam on Norris Road before you get to the Songbird access area. I also assume wading is only possible at low generation periods. For example, to help me gauge the river, would wading be possible at all at the Church under today's generation, say, this morning?
Let me know if I'm off track. Not looking for secret spots, only general info.

* I can wade a few areas on the Clinch during a 1 generator pulse; but, I would not recommend that to anyone and I think it is virtually impossible/dangerous to try and wade in a one-generator+ cycle. I hope this information helps you with the fishing and with being safe!:smile:

I agree with Madison. Access around the dam is numerousbut please keep up with water level. When its on its on. Although I have waded around Millers on one generator be sure you know your wading ability. I do not recommend it.Fishing around the dam is slow fishing but rewarding. I love it. Millers is my favorite.,but have caught larger fish @ the jail area.
