Only spent around 2 hours there before heading to the Ocoee for some kayaking. Water temp was 68 degrees :frown:, and I'm sure was the reason for my troutless day.
No trout landed, but I missed a nice one, and I caught the biggest Chub I have ever seen. It was about 9.25 inches. When I hooked him, I thought, finally a trout, but no - just the monster chub. I think the trout that were there were either in deep pools or areated water just trying to survive:eek:
Beautiul fishery that was nice to see without generation (typically kayak this stretch). If we could get some colder weather I could see how it could be an awesome tailwater.
