I had to be in Townsend just after lunch yesterday, so I threw the fishing gear in the Jeep and made plans on fishing a little in the afternoon. I had planned on hiking at least 45 minutes from the trailhead, but after not passing a single fisherman in the first 20, I hopped right in. Glad I did. The fishing was excellent. The fish were stupid, and I didn't want to fool with a camera too much, but here are a few pictures I did take.

Heck yeah, that looks like a fun afternoon. Those are some good sized fish!

Way to go, Buzz. That's the problem with living around here - in October and November it's a big ole deelemma to decide whether to head to the mountains with the fly rod or grab the bow/ML and chase deer. Of course, I've been so dang busy lately, I've been doing neither.

Buzz, hopefully we can hook up again soon, would like to explore that stretch we were on earlier in the month on river X. Anyway, just got back from the park after an afternoon of very nice weather. The water was very cold, I estimate it to be around 52 degrees or so. This was based on that I fell twice and got completely soaked.

Oh, forgot to mention that there were a heavy hatch of White mayflies well in to the evening, didn't stay for the spinners as it was getting very dark.
