Never been here, but want to go now that I know about it. I love the cabins of the GSMNP.

My father actually stopped by the cabin one summer while visiting family in Sevierville and visited with the sisters for a while....always amazing when you can visit with someone who actually grew up in the Park...my fishing buddy and I met up with an older gentleman two years ago over at Greenbrier at the Ramsey trailhead....his family had lived in Greenbrier before the Park and he was back visiting the "homestead"....don't imagine there are many of these people left these days.

I wouldn't think so. Very interesting stuff. I'm gonna try and check it out next time I'm in the park.

BRF, several ways to get there...depending on how interesting you want the hike....shortest is the metcalfe bottoms route, next is the little brier trail from wear cove road, and the coup de gras is laurel falls to litttle brier and down to the house....about 7 miles...
