I'll be at my parents in Norris tomorrow....think any of y'all can pull away from the dinner table to go play in the river for a while??

It's been well over a year since I've stood in that frigid water. I tied up some of those flies that strain my eyes to look at. I'll be there. Give me a call.

Good luck to you guys if you make it out.

Been looking for an opportunity to get out on the Clinch this week, but the generation schedule has been terrible for wading. Should have known that the one day this week that I could not get out there, they would be off all day long.

I expect the fishing to be pretty slow with the water being off all day, but I'm gonna go stare at a strike indicator anyway. I had hoped for a favorable wading schedule on friday so I could throw buggers in the rain....no dice.

I like days with a schedule like tomorrow since I generally fish the long slow pools anyway. I fish farther down river typically, and like to fish through the pulse when they have a schedule like tomorrow's. Good luck to you, wish I could be out there with you all.

This time of year I take a wide assortment of midge larva, pupa, and emergers with me. My two favorite tandem rigs this time of year are a dark olive zebra midge with an olive buzzer or a blood worm with a beadhead thread pupa.

Happy Thanksgiving

Cody,

How was it out there today? Were you able to get out?

Hope you guys had a good day yesterday. I made it out to Millers yesterday as the pulse was turned off.....I didn't have much time, but the fishing was good. Olive and purple zebras seemed to do the trick....I also tried a scud pattern with no luck. My first and best fish of the day was a beautiful 18" bow.....the rest were small bows and a few browns in the 12"-14" range. It was a beatuful day with lots to be thankful for.

I lurk the board frequently but new to posting....Im having trouble posting a pic because it is not on a website.....If someone could help me it would be much appreciated - Thanks

Go to the Website and message board section of the forum. The second "sticky" from the top gives instructions on posting pics.. You'll need a picture hiosting site like photobucket. Hope this helps. Silvercreek

I went to the weir pool for a while. Did ok. The winds were brutal.
Typical olive zebras and #16 bhpt's.

Rodonthefly, that is a great attitude to have. I have lots of memories with my father when we went hunting and fishing. Working on this with my grandkids.
