Spent some time in the snow up by Tremont today. It was beautiful up there. The road was closed past the institute, so I hiked up a good ways toward thunderhead & hardly saw a sole, except for 1 other fisherman and a couple of photographers. Even managed a fish, and from what the other folks I talked to said, I should consider myself lucky. Very peaceful day. Thought I would share a few pictures.

I caught my first trout, a Bow up there in the middle of winter, bout 15 degrees as I recall, and I'll never forget it.

Nice fish Cody! I was out this past week in PF but only for one day to take the wife shopping. Didn't even pack a rod but thanks for the pics!
I got to go bird hunting today though and, for the 2nd trip in a row, found Quail! That was exciting, even connected with a late flushing hen and she's gonna be just right with biscuits and gravy!

You are making me hungry....last time I had that menu was when I was in Sevierville for Christmas break in college...had snowed unexpectedly and went out to my uncles farm on Middle Creek to track rabbits....no rabbits but jumped quail where there were not supposed to be any....managed one bird that my grandmother promptly turned into breakfast the next morning...yummy.
