i remember i could find a nice site that had mileage points and take outs for the elk. very helpful site. but for some reason after 20 min of ggogle i can't seem to find it. i know the float i wanna do. but i sure would like to have that site info for friends and myself.
anyone know the one i am talking about.

I know Tim's Flies and Lies in Lynchburg on the Elk does drops offs and pick ups if that helps.

that is good info to know. the web site i was talking about didn't say that. soo i will have to always keep that in mind.

I used to work for a canoe outfitter on the Elk and know it pretty darn well so any questions let me know.
Yes, Rhonda at Tim's has a print out she'll give you that has "most" of the spots and take-outs.
I went yesterday and caught 3 in an hour. Ferris had been hit pretty hard so I didn't figure i'd catch that much but one was a real dandy!

UPDATE: I remembered that I have the guide in electronic format if anyone wants it. Just let me get all of my notes off of it first ;-)

thats awsome. i am surprised no one here knows the site i am talking about. and i can't belive i didn't save the info. soo i am fired lol. i am gonna look on my old computer also. it had alot of good info on it.
i know most of the take outs i think. but its always nice to have something to look at.

Maybe this will help. Pick the region and then the stream. It will give you a map of the stocked area. Scroll down below the map and it will describe the access point.

I did this one nasty day, rode around and got GPS marking, made up these maps for another board I frequent.
