Sorry for the late report:
Last weekend a fish'n bud and I made our bi-annually four day, three night Smokies trip that we seem to only do every two years. We met up at ken's house Thursday morning. After a quick stop for food and a few hours of driving, we arrived at the trailhead.
A mile or so up the trail, we came to the first evidence of how bad the storms were Wednesday night. A huge tree had fallen across the bridge over the creek. After scaling the tree, we continued the last three miles or so without incident. We made camp about noon, did some camp chores, ate a quick lunch.

Fishing was hard in the afternoon. I only managed about four to hand.

Friday, did a little site seeing. Located a cemetery close to camp. This was amazing. The grounds were perfect and very well manicured. Very sad to see the number of people that never made it out of childhood.

Fishing was not much better, lots of hookup. We fished hard but not many to hand.

Saturday was a little better, but still not what we were hoping for. Lots of LDRs. I did manage to get my best bow yet in the Smokies. A nice 14" that was camera shy. I'm still sick about it. Did more site seeing. We found another cemetery. This one was on top a of a knob that about killed me getting to it. Again, mostly children.

We had a great trip. Looking forward to the next one.
