Local news had a report from the hatchery that produces fish for the Indian reservation both the regular supported water and I believe the trophy water as well. The facility was heavily damaged by a flash flood on Straight Fork which supplies the water for the hatchery. They have estimated the damage to be in the 40-$50,000.00 range. This is certainly bad news for these folk, they do a pretty darn good job of keep their waters stocked. You guys that fish the trophy water might want to check with the local folks to see if they have a supply of fish available.
You guys that like to fish Straight Fork might want to see if the road into Round Bottom is still open or not. I haven't heard anything about this park service road so I'm no help . We are fishing Cataloochee tomorrow otherwise we would be going to that area and I could find out and let you know.
As soon as I can learn any additional info I'll post it.

I was on the road Saturday am and it was open. They had heavy equipment in the stream below the hatchery and it was extremely muddy from top to bottom. I drove up to the bridge above the horse camp, and you can see where water made it's own rut in the road, with lots of trees in the stream. Pretty impressive.
