Local news had a report from the hatchery that produces fish for the Indian reservation both the regular supported water and I believe the trophy water as well. The facility was heavily damaged by a flash flood on Straight Fork which supplies the water for the hatchery. They have estimated the damage to be in the 40-$50,000.00 range. This is certainly bad news for these folk, they do a pretty darn good job of keep their waters stocked. You guys that fish the trophy water might want to check with the local folks to see if they have a supply of fish available.
You guys that like to fish Straight Fork might want to see if the road into Round Bottom is still open or not. I haven't heard anything about this park service road so I'm no help . We are fishing Cataloochee tomorrow otherwise we would be going to that area and I could find out and let you know.
As soon as I can learn any additional info I'll post it.
