Maps have been published (http://www.smokystreams.com/maps/ltrw01.htm)of Twentymile Creek and tributaries on one side and Parson Branch and Tabcat Creek and tribs on the other. I'm anxious to hear if fish have been caught in other than the tributaries highlighted, i.e., Moore Spring Branch, Bunker Hill Creek & Maynard Creek. Also curious about the possibility of specks up high. The NPS fisheries biologists did not get to include these watersheds in their brook trout distribution sampling program bacck when.

Looks great. I'll have to get a copy

I believe there may be some browns in the lowest stretches of Twentymile itself.

Twentymile is one of my favorite area's. Ill definitely have to pick up one of those maps soon. I have plans to hit up some of the unsampled streams in that watershed next spring. I'll let you know what I find so the next round of maps can be updated.

You are correct. The map shows brown and brook trout for a short distance inside the park boundary. They are the stocked variety, however. Even so, they are protected by park regulations. Going after them outside the park requires a NC license, of course.

Sounds good! We'll all be glad to hear from you.

The above wording is a bit confusing as Moore Spring Branch, Bunker Hill Creek & Maynard Creek are some of the tribs shown on the maps as holding rainbow trout. It maybe should have read

"I'm anxious to hear if fish have been caught in other than the tributaries shown on the maps as holding rainbow trout (Moore Spring Branch, Bunker Hill Creek & Maynard Creek, etc.) For example, has anyone caught trout in Dalton Branch or Proctor Branch?"

Fred, a request:

Could you please put a "Published Date" and "Revision Date" on your site for all the maps? It will make it easier to ensure I have them all..
