Metcalf Bottoms 11/7

I decided to fish the park today in spite of the beautiful weather. Also, I just recently purchased a Kodak Play Sport waterproof videocamera and had been dying to try it out. With a short window of and hour before dark, I decided to fish Metcalf. When I arrived, I noticed that the stream flow was near perfect. I rigged up with a red copper john deep below an

indicator, and it wasn't long before I started picking up a few little guys...

After catching a few smaller browns and bows, I hooked up with the biggest fish of the day measuring somewhere around
10 inches.

On the way back home, I saw a flock of turkeys picking around on the side of the road which was a good end to a fun day of fishing..

Nice report troutslayer. You catch them all on that red copper John? I caught a big sycamore leaf like that the other day thinking I had hooked a nice fish.

tjw37909, yes I caught all of the fish on that red copper john. I didnt see any fish rising the whole time I was out there so I didn't even try a dry fly.

Nice report and pictures! I fish a red copper john fairly often on the tailwaters and might have to tie one on in the mountains more regularly...

They usually work well for me, especially when the water is higher and I want something that gets their attention.

Schools goin great, and I actually havent had much time to fish the SOHO with my golf and schoolwork. Looking forward to fish it more in the upcoming weeks. Any of you guys have any input on where to fish etc...?
