Well picked some folks up for a mid day fishing adventure to find that the roads in the park today were closed...even though the hotline said all roads were open when I checked. So I ended up fishing low on the West Prong of the Little Pigeon. Air temp was 30 when we started and snowing heavily and it got colder as the day went along. We did manage some fish on nymphs and shot, but the real amazing thing is that the Quill Gordons were hatching. Now there was no major hatch, just a sparse sporadic hatch, and no rising fish to eat them. But the water temp was also only 37 degrees!!! I just found it interesting, and figured I would share it.
