I got to see the prelims. Also was treated to impressive N&S train crossing at the very upper end of the river zone of the Cherokee National Forest. Yep, the engineer blew at us. One of my my better birthdays.

Although I'd love to drift the French Broad for smallies one day, I was pleased to see there's a lot of wade in access in the Weaver Bend area (http://www.tn.gov/twra/gis/Boating/Boating_PDF/FrenchBroadRiver/WeaverBend.pdf). Gotta go back once the water recedes and clears.
