A Bald Eagle has been hanging out at Chilhowee Lake between Abrahms Creek and Tabcat Creek. I spotted the adult eagle Saturday perched in a pine tree beside the road. A group of motorcyclists pulled over to observe the eagle.
We watched the eagle fly across the lake. Very majestic bird.

By chance, did he look exactly like this one?

Rivergal, my picture was actually taken along Tellico Lake. There's a giant dead tree at the Toqua boatramp on the west side of the lake and about every third time I drive by it, there's a bald eagle in it. I run the Lakeshore trail along the east side of the lake as well ad the loop trail inside fort Loudon State Park and routinelly see eagles. About 3 weeks ago, there were 5 mature eagles all within a 100 yard stretch in the state park. It was a sight to see. Of course I was running and didn't have a camera with me.
