Oldman and I hit one our favorite brook trout streams today. The brooks were eager to strike, but not very aggressive. Many were caught on the dry and many on the dropper nymph.

Here are a few pics.

As we approach 5000 feet, the brooks are getting smaller and the flies are getting larger.

Okay, there are still some larger ones up here.

It was good day. We had fun and it was great to get away from work and spend a day in the outdoors. The only casualty of the day was my beloved 3 wt, I broke the tip. Thankfully, it has a great warranty, so it will be repaired and soon be back in action.
