View Full Version : Brookies in Gatlinburg: How's Road Prong fishing?

Hey, guys. Just about to head up to Gatlinburg for family trip but would love to sneak out one morning and fish for a couple hours. Was thinking of taking my teenage daughter to get her first Brookie. Would Road Prong be the best choice? Never fished there but willing to try it. If any other locations better, let me know. We are staying off Roaring Fork Rd up 321 so didn't know if Greenbrier would be better. Any help appreciated. You can email me at dawgvet2003(at)yahoo(dot)com

I would probably go high up in Greenbrier. There isn't much traffic up there.

Was up at greenbriar last weekend. water was low but fishable then. be stealthy.
There is another rod run going on in PF right now. I just got back to my office in sevierville from a trip up to G-burg. traffic pretty slow through PF. Take veterans blvd. to bypass most of it or come in by way of townsend.

Keep in mind that the Chimneys trail (necessary to get to Road Prong) is closed Monday through Thursday every week for trail maintenance. Road Prong is fishing well. Up to 5 inches of rain over the next two days could change that dramatically.
