I fished with a buddy of mine on the Little River Saturday. It was cold, snowy, and windy, pretty typical of the days we seem to get to fish together.. With the cold air, and water, we went with deep nymphs 5 to 6 feet below indicators with split shot and tungsten beads. Nymph pattern did not seem to matter much, and we caught about 15 or so. All rainbows, and all keeper size except one which was about an inch short. It as good to get out after a long lull, and even better to catch some fish.

Thanks for the post. I was supposed to do an off-trail hike with Smoky Mountain Hiking Club on Sat, but we had to abort our plan since the road was closed. As we drove out for the day I saw someone fishing 100 yards or so below the Wye. I thought to myself that water must be 40 degrees, that guy won't be catching anything. Glad I was wrong about the catching:biggrin:
