Well, it is august. In many other places in the eastern side of the US people are matching the trico hatch, and of course even better, the trico spinner fall. Big fish, small flies, lots of fun. But not us... We have tricos, lots of them actually. Maybe not the clouds of ten thousands there are in some other regions, but they are here none the less. Anyone ever wonder why our fish ignore them? I cannot say out of all the evenings I have spent in the smokies that I have seen fish keyed in on tricos. Anyone else ever wonder why?
