View Full Version : Tremont better than expected (for August)

I enjoyed a couple of days fishing Tremont this week. Lots of small Rainbows, mostly in plunge pools.

The fish weren't doing much at the surface, so I went down with a Prince Nymph or Black Wooly (see the big split shot in pic; it was a really deep hole that held 3 good fish).

There aren't many places in the (real) South where fishing is fun EVEN IF you don't catch a fish. The Smokies are special.
