Well, I just got home from a hunting trip and was informed that I'm headed to Aruba for a week in November. I've done some quick internet searches and have come up with few fly fishing options on the island. I did find this guy and his online reviews look good. Almost too good for the price.

I plan on emailing him in the morning.

Does anyone have any info on anything about fly fishing there?

I did a search on this forum for "Aruba" and it didn't indicate a single hit.

Heck, I'll take any info about the island at all; places to eat, places to see, places not to go......

Lets just say, Aruba didn't suck.

I can also claim that I'm now a tarpon fisherman.

It's certainly not the largest tarpon in the ocean, but it is one, and I caught it on a fly. It only gives me a good reason to start doing some more saltwater fishing. Someday, I'm going to work my way up to catching the big boys.

On appropriate tackle, I'm told these are more fun that the big boys. Have caught that size and lower they are a blast!
