Some friends and I are headed up Twentymile creek camping @ campsite 92 the first weekend in March. *It will be our first time fishing this creek. *Does anyone have any experience fishing twentymile? *Are there any tips you have? *

I have fished it once so I can give you a complete evaluation but I won't make it my main destination next time. The main reason of course being the gruesome drive on the "Dragon" U.S. 129 which is a pain. The second reason is the fact that the mouth of the river is at a very low elevation and the fishing is marginal. The stream has some tainted color to it and it is very small. If you are way upstream it should get better. I just don't see any reason to go back. This doesn't mean that you won't have excellent results, especially since you are camping and can spend time further upstream. Hope this helps.

I have fished it several times and probably will never fish it again.

Thanks for the info. I believe we might change our plans and head to Eagle creek instead.

i have had great luck right behind the ranger sation on twenty mile creek. so if you head to eagle instead stop on the way, park the car and catch fish @ twenty mile creek.
