Could someone tell me the difference in the Trident TLS, and The Trident TL.

J, We are trying to remember and we're going to get someone from Orvis to give you a good answer. Going by memory the Trident Rods preceded the Trident TL. The Trident TLS came later. It featured higher modulus graphite than the others. The Trident TLS was replaced last year with the Power Matrix TLS. It uses the newer resin that is used in the T3. I hope I'm correct and have not confused you.

Here's some more information from Dave Hayward of Orvis. Byron
Trident TL's were our first compound tapered, high end (57mil) graphite, rod line, born in Vermont, with nice maple inserts, TiCr guides. TLS rods are the same graphite and taper, Plus the thermoplastic resins with a less expensive seat and guides but sell for about $200 less. The Power Matrix TLS is still made in Vermont with a new graphite reel seat and chromed guides vs. high end TiCr guidesets. Also has the Thermoplastic resins (for T3 toughness using the same 57Mil graphite. Hope that helps and this is the hardest question we have at "Orvis Days".
