I apologize up front for asking a non-fishing question, but this board seems to get the most traffic.
We are coming down on June 3rd. We are discussing whether or not to bring our food with us (camping)
As I recall the sales tax in Tenn. is something like 8%?
Again, forgive me for the non-fishing question..... :-[

Actually it is a shade over 9%. *That's why we don't have an income tax.
Enjoy your visit!

thanks for the reply Kings and we shall enjoy our stay.... ;)
Yep, 9.25%...which amounts to...9.25 cents per $1 spent. He's right though, that's why we don't have an income tax. Either way, probably not worth bringing your own food. However, if you need food that has nutritional substance while staying well below budget, see www.troutunderground.com for a review of the East Tennessee Slaw Dog. We've been living off these things for generations.
