There is some public access to the Holston at Emmit Bridge. As far as the Watauga, Im not sure. Local guide always floats it, but IDK where he puts in at. Any of the local shops here can help ya out and give you further info.

I stopped in a fly shop in Johnson city and they were alot of help. I think the name is The fly shop of east Tn. I bought a map and he marked public access and best fishing spots. Also he is a friend of Little River Outfitters so he cant be all bad.Good luck < alot of big fish in those rivers

I had planned to fish the SoHo couple of weeks ago. Looked long and hard for a place to stay nearby and closest I found was in Bristol. There may be some in Blountville or Bluff City that I didn't find. If you're into camping, River Ridge campground on the Watauga is only 20-25 min from the SoHo tailwaters.

Hope you have a great trip! :)
