campsite 24 above Elkmont

Anyone camped here lately? Is it a good base camp for fishing?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Any alternative backcountry sites ?

It's either 24 or deep creek this weekend

You need to check with the park. I planned on going there earlier this month and had to go to another site because they closed 24 for aggresive bear activity.

I just spoke with them and it is still closed due to bear activity along with campsites 9, 13, 29, 36, 37

I ended up going to 18 and it was real nice.
