I am new to tying and decided to try a Clouser Minnow for my first fly. :)

Looks great! I have caught lots of Smallies with this color of Clouser minnow.
We can't thank Bob Clouser enough for inventing it! ;D

Griff,

Your Clouser looks great. Good color choice too. Lefty says, "if it aint chartreuse, it aint no use".

Actually I did, but it took a couple (or 3) tries to get it right. :)

That's a good looking fly, it will catch fish for sure. Beware that the fly tying addiction will balloon just like everything else in fly fishing... 8-)

I tied a clouser a year ago. couldn't get the hang of the whip finish, so I just tied it off somehow and put a big glob of glue on the end and it held ok. even though it looked pretty good, I never was able to catch a fish on it!

AMEN to the whip finish, really hoping they will give us an easy way to do this in the Jan class........
