Anyone else notice the weather forecast for the next week? Its looking like highs in the low 60's and lows in the upper 30's to low 40's. We might actually have some great fishing for December complete with some bugs hatching. Best of all, school is about to be out for the holidays so I can finally go fishin'... 8-)
It wouldn't be Christmas in east tn if it isn't 60 degrees or warmer :( :'(. *The fishing should be pretty good though.

I just checked the weather, and it's looking great. I wonder if I can squeeze in one last trip to the mtns on Sat. If I get up early I can make it back in time to load the moving truck and drive to Nashville, eh?

You should plan it so you fish the mountains in the morning and then hit the Caney on the way by in the afternoon assuming the generation schedule is friendly. ;D I've actually fished the Caney in the morning before and then drove to the mountains for the afternoon to fish...fun stuff!

That's not a bad idea. I'll be in a Uhaul pulling my jeep though....but wait, isn't there access to the Caney from that rest stop?

I'm crossing my fingers that El Nino will give us conditons like we're getting this week for a while; I'm keeping a close watch on that water temp - today, it almost made it to that magic 40 degree mark by late afternoon. I'm almost sure I'll be up there for New Year's, and the temperature will be the clincher.
Good ol' El Nino...saved our bacon down here on the coast this Summer/Fall, and hopefully will give us some bonus Winter fishing ;)
