I was able to spend about an hour and a half on the Middle Prong Saturday around 1:00. I saw tons of bugs. I fished a #12 Quill Gordon the entire time. Every tiny pocket of water that I could approach carefully and get off a good first cast, I got a rise on my fly. I only got three to hand, and missed a bunch of strikes. I was amazed at how unforgiving each pocket was. If I didn't get a good float on the first cast, the pocket was dead. I soon learned to be very cautious on that first cast, and once I did, I had much better success.
It was a ton of fun for this Nashville boy.
