Arrived at the picnic area around 11:00 w/ still 2 turbines flow. Worked the shoals with little luck. Managed one 9" bow on #18 hares ear dropper. A decent brown stonefly hatch came off around 1:00 but went unnoticed.
Moved up river after 3:00 and things changed. Bout four a heavy brown caddis hatch brought many fish to the surface. By 5:00 or so the first BWO hatch I have seen this season came off. Not real heavy but was noticed! I was havin so much fun I didnt keep track but must have caught around 14 fish, most small but did bring one to hand that was 15" & healthy.
Wind was still a factor at times, Still a great day to be on the water!!!
