I would like to start this fishing report by thanking Daniel at Little River Outfitters. Friday stopped in and was discussing stripping peacock eyes for making Quill Gordon’s and he provided me with the needed info to chemically strip the quills. This worked great and I tied a couple more Quill Gordon’s. Thank’ Daniel it was a huge help.
But having my improved tying quills and fresh flies did not seem to make a difference Wednesday evening. I got out on the middle prong at 4:00pm and fished till 6:45. I covered a lot of water and tried a couple of different flies and nymphs and managed 2 very small rainbow trout. It was slow but a very nice quite evening to be out on the stream.
I did see some insects flying about and had a stone fly land on me but saw little activity from the fish.
