Finally got another camera!!! Thanks to everyone that offered recommendations... After a bit of research, I discovered that the newest Pentax waterproof was set for release at the end of March and waited to get it. It is the Optio W30 and so far it is great!
I finally got the camera this last weekend and of course had to try it out soon. I haven't been fishing the Hiwassee much so I decided to see how it was fishing. I arrived at the river around 4:30 and drove slowly all the way to the Powerhouse. No one else was around for once so I decided to start out there. The caddis hatch has apparently started and the fish were responding enthusiastically. I tied on an experimental pattern I came up with recently and soon had a fish on. The action continued until I just got tired of fishing there and moved downriver to try something else. A streamer pattern accounted for a few more fish downriver as the hatch there wasn't as heavy as it was near the powerhouse. Anyway, enough about the fishing...
The new camera takes good photos although next time I will probably try shooting in a larger format. It took excellent underwater pictures which made for some fun...
Half above, half under...

All the fish were nice-sized and very healthy...
