Need some help. I am stopping at Clinton Sunday on the way to the Park with the intent of fishing the Clinch on Monday. Last time I went to Millers which was kind of crowded. I looked at Peach Orchard, but it didn't look like a wading area. A couple of years ago I went down to the jail(before the church was built), but when I got in the water it seemed to be kind of high for wading. I hear people talking about wading behind the church and was wondering if someone could give me some advice on what to expect down there. Was I just there when the dam was running? It was about 5 in the evening on a Sunday. Thanks.

Generation Schedule:

Arrival / Drain-down times (scroll to bottom of page)

Generally very safe to wade near the jail except during multi-hour, 2-unit generation. But, be careful!

you may have just hit the area when the water was on. I've never fished directly by the jail, so I don't know if it's wadeable on 0 generators or not. the few times I've fished that area, I park at the church and walk up a few hundred yards. prior to you going, you need to either call TVA or check this website to find out what the generation schedule is. also, it takes the water a while to reach that area (like a few hours I believe). someone on here should know more about it. whatever you do, make sure you know when the water is coming on. you don't want to be out there in the middle of the stream if they flip 2 generators on.

Thanks. I guess I won't be coming down till next week now, family issues, but I will check on the generation schedules.
