I still have not made it to any brook trout streams, but I did manage to fish the delayed harvest section of the Toccoa river Monday afternoon. I fished for about 3 hours and caught 6 or 7 decent sized rainbows. The last fish of the day was the best!

Nice fish! I keep intending to get a GA license during the school year since I'm so close but just forget. I may have to remember next school year...

Yes, it is a Loop DryFly. I bought it about 7 or 8 years ago. It is light and virtually maintenance free. There is nothing to lube at all! I really like it.

Plateau, you really need to get down there. A GA nonresident licenses (including trout) is actually cheaper than a corresponding TN resident license. Plus, the license is good for a year (not just until Feb!) But you probably already know this. The DH ends March 15th, but there are some wild streams that are on my list!

If anyone ever needs any first hand info on GA, I'll be glad to help you out if I can. I don't know them all, but I've been fishing the GA mtns. long enough to know most of them. :)
Nice fish!
