can anyone give me the specifics on tying a green weenie. i looked at some pictures and made my best copy but i want to make sure i have the materials right.

mustad 9671, tiemco5262 size #10-#14
ultra chenille in worm green or chartreuse
body is the length of the hook shaft
tail loop is approx. 1/4" long (important to have this)
weighted or non-weighted, bead head or non-beadhead
I think most of the guys are using standard green weenies w/o weight or bead head

Messing around at the vice again...you guys tell me what you think about this version. Of course if the original green weenie is supposed to sink this might not be ideal :smile:

I've fished one very similiar to your tie except it is using a small round cylinder foam in a chartruse green. Works pretty good in combination with a beetle or other terrestrial pattern after a rain shower. Add a few rubber leg kickers and it is deadly on bluegills!
