It was a nice day to back in the mtns with a little fly rod and a box of dries. After visiting LRO and Troutfest, I decided to walk up above the falls on Lynn Camp Prong. I haven't visited that area in about 2 years. To say that it was crowed with hikers and fishermen is an understatement. I'm sure there were several of us that were fishing behind each other. The water level is low and the bite was slower than expected for this time of year. I ended up with about 5 small rainbows before leaving after a couple of hours. Fished up above Metcalf this afternoon for about 45 min. and caught about 6-7 more including a couple of small browns. Headed over to the cookout to meet everyone and enjoy the good BBQ and conversation. Great to meet you guys and gals. Buckeye, I hope that fly worked for you this evening! I'm sure there are several of you still on the water right now! Sulphers are probably hatching and your having a ball! I wanted to share this photo. with you because I thought it was interesting. I didn't notice the little stonefly and the little green caddis on the trout when I took this pict. The little rainbow must have had a mouthful when he hit my fly. Greedy little thing!

Great pictures, especially the first. Doesn't get any better than catching fish on dries...
