View Full Version : Bradley Fork redux

After searching earlier posts and having a delightful conversation with Paula I know that when my family and I camp on Bradley Fork next month we need to hike past the crowds and throw yellow things. Given the exceptionally low water this year, does anyone have any additional pointers? Also would appreciate getting some characteristics of both Bradley and Chasteen Creek, such as width, depth and overgrowth, beyond what Kirk and Lawrence include in their helpful books. Thanks!

In my opinion the most important advice I can give is to stay low and don't wade unless you absolute have to. In low water you must be stealthy and even during normal water conditions it's the preferred method. You will be surprised how many fish you would catch in the spots you wanted to wade.

Sound advice, Hans. I end up wading sometimes because it's the easiest way to have room for a backcast but I'm sure there's often a better approach.
