a bear has been caught in the old city, in downtown knoxville. this is right where I live. it's one thing with the vagrants and muggings, and a recent fire downtown. now I gotta worry about bears jumping out at me when I walk home at night.
a bear was spotted a few weeks ago at cherokee bluffs (by UT hospital), and again in west knox. probably the same bear. he must have wanted to check out the nightlife down in the old city. maybe get a beer and do some dancing.
or maybe he was a "panhandler" bear, and thought he'd join the other panhandlers downtown.
