Sticky soles.. are they really?

I been looking at the new easy-on Batt's with the Sticky rubber soles. Are they really 'sticky' or should I stay with felt?

...referring to, but it sounds similar to the "aqua-stealth" soles and from what I hear felt is much better in the Smokies.

I'd stay w/ felt. however, I have a friend who also guides and wears an old pair of "shoes for crews" combat style boots. its a nonslip sole designed for people in the restaurant industry. he claims they work great in the smokies. felt is probably better though.
