I have a SA line. I didnt learn until recently that you're not supposed to use "Glide" or something similar on it. It says you shouldnt have to. Funny, b/c I thought that it helped when I did it. I was wondering what you guys do to clean a flyline. What works best, what shouldnt I do? Thanks.

MTN_TRT,
I was in LRO this afternoon and ol' Joe told me to use soap and just clean it reel well (get it), when I was trying to spend some money on a line cleaner/slickener. Worked fine. I also use SA mastery line.

Hope Joe dosn't get in trouble for blowing a sale.

Joe would never get in trouble! Actually, many of the line manufacturers recommend warm water and a mild soap. The newer line coatings just don't need more than that.
