Have you heard the news?
Oh, it’s all the rage!
Someone is putting on
Another year in age.

Oh, he's not singing the blues
He’s just casting a new page
Trying to remember to zip his fly
Maybe he'll get a new Sage

I’m sure he gave Paula some clues
We wish for him a grand day
A tarpon vacation perhaps or
A giant trout on the line to play

I wish him all the next year through
Many a day with a tight-looped cast
And no riffles beyond those in streams
And great memories that forever last.


Congratulations, Byron, on reaching the grand ole age of 29 tomorrow. Hope I reach that ripe ole age some day. Hope your eye sight will still be good enough to count those cows.
